Jonathan pens "Room 3" a horror/thriller in a very original plot that was well thought out. Between the twists, turns and what's going to happen next it kept me at the edge of my seat right to the end. What I didn't expect was the ending, that was a total surprise. Highly recommended to all who love the horror and thrills.

I was given this book free from Innovative Online Tours in exchange for an honest review. The premise of this book really intrigued me and I was automatically drawn in to Kelli's story and curious what was going on from page one. What was Room 3 about? The build up did NOT let me down and there was so many surprises and shocks that kept me on the edge of my seat. Great book, the only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because when the book ended, I wanted it to continue! ) I really hope there's a sequel someday to find out more about this whole story line!
I received a free copy of this novel for my honest review. Kelli has been kidnapped, drugged and locked up in a room. She has been imprisoned so long that she's lost track of time. Her roommate dies tragically before her eyes and a piece of her is lost with Gina's death. This is a fantastic book, it kept me guessing and wondering if Kelli's experience is real or imagined. Is she crazy? I was hooked on this book because of the puzzle aspect, I love a good puzzle. The book was so well written and the ending will surprise you. Definitely a five heart novel, one I will read more than once, something I rarely ever do.
I was drawn to this book like a moth to the flame. Or a rat to a piece of cheese inside a trap. The premise of Room 3 is very interesting and reminded me of several horror movies I've seen. But when I started reading Room 3, I was reminded of only one thing the game Portal. It felt Kelli was that person trying trick after trick to figure out why she was there and how to get out of the room, but all that she got in return was a bunch of cryptic answers from her captives. The only reason I made it passed the first level in Portal was Google and I still gave up fairly early into the game. I'm so horrible at puzzles and it took everything I had NOT to skip to the last chapter to figure out what was going on with Room 3.
As you read, there are multiple theories going through your head. Are these people real or imagined? Is her roommate her friend or her enemy? Is her potential love interest going to betray her? The trust nothing and no one philosophy I think was done too well and I never really believed what was going on long enough to be scared by any of the scenes. I honestly believed that Kelli was schizophrenic through reading the entire book and that she had a very sick imagination.
When the ending finally came, I was shocked. Totally did not expect that ending, but looking back it explained everything. Every doubt I ever had in the sincerity and plausibility of the story explained within a single scene. You won't guess the ending, but if you read this book, you'll be happy you stuck through it the entire way.
So -1 star for the frustrating puzzle. +4 for pulling off such a crazy concept.

For Kelli Foster, a small-time life isn't something she wants to live for the rest of her life. She's always dreamed of something better and has been doing everything possible to achieve that goal. Her hopes and dreams are the only things she has left to hold on to and she'll do anything to make sure they come true.
Abducted in the middle of the night after getting out of work one day, Kelli finds herself in the middle of a nightmare from which she may never escape. She's imprisoned against her will with no suitable answers as to why she's been kidnapped in the first place. It's obvious that she has something her captors want, but she's not exactly sure as to what that is and how she can comply in order to give them what they seek.
Kelli's world is further turned upside-down as the shadowy organization relentlessly plugs her for information. They're intent on making her cooperate by any means necessary, hoping that she'll become a very willing participant in the long run. Unfortunately, they never counted on her resilience. She knows she needs to find a way out of her current predicament, even if it means she'll need to play their sordid game in order to do it.
As time passes and her sanity becomes questionable, Kelli begins to wonder if she'll ever see her beloved home and family ever again. She's not sure how much longer she'll be able to keep her captors at bay. Each day that goes by tugs more and more on her resolve. At times, she wonders if she'll be able to withstand the pain and exploitation they keep dishing out. As her fate and those she comes to care for hang in the balance, she becomes certain of one thing. No matter what happens, freedom will be achieved, even if it means that lives must be lost in order to obtain it.
This was such a mind-boggling and thrilling read. The twists and turns keep the reader guessing through every turn of the page. Full of mind-bending puzzles and wicked riddles, the story pulls the reader in as he/she tries to decipher the secrets behind Kelli's abduction. The more the reader discovers, the more the questions grow. By the time the end of the book is achieved, it's sure to leave the reader astounded in more ways than one. Beautifully crafted, it's a book that's definitely worth reading time and again. I enjoyed it immensely.
